The Liberty Series 72L-HP is an all new transmission specifically designed to satisfy the rigorous demands of the high performance boating market. The 72L-HP was designed from the ground up using the latest engineering techniques and materials. Like, all Liberty series transmissions, this transmission is produced using “State Of The Art” manufacturing processes. The 72L-HP features an all aluminum, aircraft grade case making it extremely strong yet light weight. The all new Liberty Series 72L-HP will outperform anything on the market.
Dry sump design reduces parasitic losses while ensuring a constant supply of oil to the pump.
All aluminum case is extremely light weight
Available in both electric and manual shift
Drive line and close coupled use the same model with the addition of an adaptor plate (only one unit to stock)
High speed rated to 6500 RPM
Easily interchanged with existing competitive and Velvet Drive models
Clutch pack rated at 2500 ft-lbs in 16 full size clutches and steels
Example: For a pleasure craft boat with a gasoline engine, the Liberty Series delivers 1,425 HP at 5000 RPM.

The 72L-H is aimed at the high performance and commercial boater needing a reliable transmission for engines ranging from 400 hp to 1000hp. This transmission uses the same technology as its big brother the 72L-HP. Like, all Liberty series transmission, this transmission is produced using “State Of The Art” manufacturing processes. The 72L-H features an all aluminum, aircraft grade case making it extremely strong yet light weight. The all new Liberty Series 72L-H sets a new standard for mid range marine performance.
